Description: The sacred Neem tree has been used in Ayurvedic medicine to cure an almost endless array of ailments. It comes with no surprise, that has been referred to as the “village pharmacy”. Its antiseptic, especially its antifungal properties are so effective, that it has been considered as pesticide to manage farm lands.
The leaves are often boiled or mashed up to treat skin and hair ailments, such as acne, ulcers, eczema, boils, abscesses, dandruff or simply as wound healer. It can be applied directly onto the skin and rubbed onto the infected area. Also fungal infections, such as Candida have been treated with neem leaves. Furthermore, neem may help prevent viral and bacterial infections. Other uses include the prevention of Chagas disease and treatment of Malaria infections.
