Matcha Green

Enjoy a Cup of Matcha Green Tea for its many benefits, or how about a Matcha Latte, or a Matcha Smoothie, or even Matcha Ice Cream .

Matcha Green Tea uses the whole leaf. The entire leaf is ground finely into a powder, so you get a much higher concentration of antioxidant content than standard green tea.

Matcha Green Tea is made from the Camellia Sinensis plant, which is the same plant used for Oolong tea and Black tea, however the fermentation process differs. The difference being that Matcha Green Tea and standard green tea is unfermented, whereas Oolong tea is partially fermented and Black tea is fully fermented.

To make your Matcha Green Tea add 1/4 teaspoon to a small bowl (use a sieve or tea strainer to ensure a smooth blend), add one cup of hot water (about 80 degrees Celsius). Whisk the Matcha and hot water using a “figure 8” motion until a froth is achieved. Either pour into a cup or consume straight from the bowl.
