Description: Chamomile has relaxing and calming properties which are most commonly enjoyed as a tea to gently aid sleep. It may also be infused into a bath for a similarly relaxing effect.
Chamomile has been known to help with various digestive problems, including nausea, vomiting, indigestion, gastritis, acidity, peptic ulcers, hiatus hernia, diarrhoea, bloating, and flatulence. In particular, chamomile can ease pain from muscular cramps and can help to reduce menstrual pain. Other conditions which may benefit from its qualities are irritable bowel syndrome and Crohn’s disease.
Externally, chamomile can be applied to areas of skin inflammation and rashes, such as eczema, acne, nappy rash and may even assist wound healing.
As a steam distillation, it may also provide helpful relieve for allergic conditions, such as asthma and hay fever.
Chamomile is calming and relaxing and most commonly taken as a tea for mild sleep aide. It may also be infused in water to create a relaxing bath.
Chamomile can be used externally when inflammation of the skin occurs such as eczema, acne, or nappy rash.
